Editorial policy

How we write, review and correct this site

Written by the NexQloud Drawback team from the primary sources linked on each page.

Section 1

Who writes our pages?

NexQloud Drawback staff write and edit every page.

Section 2

How do we check the rules we describe?

Pages that explain drawback rules, tariff programs, CAPE or timelines are written from primary sources and link them.

Our guides, FAQ answers and tariff matrix carry a line such as "Written by the NexQloud Drawback team from the primary sources linked on this page."

Section 3

What do we say about our technology?

Only what is built. That covers the Sealed, Verify, Technology, Integrations and Security pages.

A claim that is planned but not built is not published.

Section 4

How do we check text drafted with AI?

We use AI writing tools to draft and summarize. They never publish. Every AI-assisted draft goes through these steps:

  1. Source every fact.

Each factual sentence must trace to a source we can link.

Primary sources come first: CBP, the eCFR, the Federal Register, USTR, the Census Bureau and GAO. Secondary sources are named as such.

  2. Recheck every number.

A person compares every number with its source and redoes our own arithmetic.

  3. Check every quote.

Quotes are checked word for word against the source.

  4. Say so.

This policy and our FAQ say that drafts may be written with AI assistance.

Section 5

How do we source and date facts?

Every number on the site has a dated source, listed in the folded "Sources" section of its page.

Facts that change, such as CAPE phases, tariff programs and interest rates, are rechecked every quarter and in launch week.

The tariff matrix keeps a change log tied to CBP's CSMS message numbers.

Section 6

What will you never see here?

  • Invented testimonials, reviews, logos or results.
  • Synthetic data presented as real. Every sample carries a label, such as "demonstration file (synthetic data)."
  • Competitors' names, except systems we read data from, or claims about how their staff handle files.
  • Countdown clocks or "act now" pressure.
  • Promises that you qualify, or of when CBP will pay.
  • Accuracy claims without a published evaluation.

Section 7

Are our guides neutral?

No. We make drawback software, and our guides say so. We accept no payment to mention anyone.

When we publish endorsements, we will follow the FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255)[1] and disclose any material connection.

Section 8

Found an error?

Tell us through our contact page. We reply within 2 business days.

If we were wrong, we fix the page, date the fix in its change log, and say what changed.

Not legal advice. Not a government agency. For advice on your own claim, talk to your licensed customs broker or your lawyer.
