- Completeness check. The agent sorts your files and lists anything missing, in plain words.
- First result. An estimated claim, the entries flagged for the IEEPA sequencing check, and the documents still needed.
- Your broker engages. The broker you chose sends its engagement letter and power of attorney directly to you.
- Package complete. Once your package is complete, the claim package is ready within 24 hours.*
- Broker review. Your broker reviews every line, approves it and files the claim in ACE.
CBP pays the claimant by ACH. With accelerated payment, CBP can pay before the claim is final.
Its only published timing, from 2018: processing "will generally take place within 3 weeks of the claim resubmission date."
Without it, a claim is deemed liquidated one year after filing unless CBP extends it, up to four years.
- Invoice. Your broker invoices you after CBP pays.
In Sealed mode, each run also ends in a signed receipt. At no step do we ask for your ACE login or bank details.
*24 hours from a complete package: entry summaries (CBP 7501), commercial invoices, packing lists, transport documents and export records for the period, plus the bill of materials and production records for manufacturing claims. We tell you the moment your package is complete, and the clock starts then. CBP rulings, waivers and approvals are separate from this clock.
