When it opens, one quarter of records is enough to begin; you don't need five years of files, or a call.
What to have ready:
- Imports: CBP 7501 entry summaries (your broker has copies), commercial invoices and packing lists. ACE report exports work too.
- Exports: bills of lading or air waybills, and your export filing records. Census's ACE Export Reports or your forwarder can supply them.
- If you manufacture: bills of materials and production records.
- If you claim unused goods: any notices of intent, or your waiver.
- Your broker's email, if you'll use your own.
Once it opens:
- Create your account and choose your broker.
- Choose Sealed or Standard, with both fees shown.
- Upload PDFs, scans, spreadsheets or a ZIP.
- Fill the gaps the completeness meter lists.
Before your first result, we ask only for what it needs, and never for your ACE login or bank details.
You see an estimated claim and the IEEPA flags first; the engagement letter and power of attorney come from your broker after that.
