Here is what our agent does, in order:
- Plans. Takes inventory of your documents against the set a claim needs, lists what's missing and tells you when the package is complete.
- Reads. Pulls entry, invoice and export data into fixed fields.
- Sorts and matches. Splits each duty line by program (ordinary duty; Sections 301, 122, 232 and 338; IEEPA) and proposes export-to-import matches.
- Checks its work. Re-foots totals to the cent against each CBP 7501 and cross-checks quantities. The arithmetic is ordinary code, not AI.
- Escalates. Sends anything uncertain to a reviewer, with the reason.
The agent doesn't decide. CBP has said "a tool does not constitute a 'person'" and that the decision belongs to a licensed customs broker.
Your broker reviews every line and files.
